My next major exhibition will be at the 2019 Wirksworth Festival in Derbyshire on the weekend of the 6th-8th September. Once again I'll be in the Parish Studios, this year sharing a space with Kate Learmouth, who produces beautiful clay pieces as well as her 2D work. I'm really looking forward to this.https://www.wirksworthfestival.co.uk/
Looking back over the last few months its been a busy and successful time. The Alnmouth Festival is one of my favourite venues, especially when I am in the beautiful location of Hilltop. This year the weather was good to us and it was a pleasure to see friends from previous years and new visitors.
On Saturday 22nd June the Feltonbury Music and Arts Festival was also blessed with good weather. I had a steady flow of visitors to my open studio, and Gallery 45 hosted an exhibition of the work of Felton Art Group. My granddaughter Nel Hume exhibited her stunning abstracts at the Open Studio and as part of the Felton Art Group show. Her first solo exhibition during the Swaledale Festival at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Offices in Bainbridge in Wensleydale went down very well, and a children's workshop that she ran in Hawes during the Festival was fully subscribed and has hopefully launched the careers of a new crop of abstract artists! Nel also had a painting selected for the Royal Academy's 2019 online exhibition, a great achievement. https://youngartists.royalacademy.org.uk/exhibitions/2019/2844
