I am committed to helping improve the quality of art and creativity for children of Primary age.
I help teachers understand the process of creativity in art and work with them to develop the skills and confidence to make art education truly creative, expressive and meaningful for children, yet manageable for the staff!
Specifically:

I love writing materials for teachers and other professionals to use. Over the years this has built up into a ‘huge’ folder of over 60 topics, each with lots of activities that encourage independent exploration and progression. These topics range from Early Years to Key Stage 2. They are used widely and very successfully by many schools in the north east. Soon to be marketed as a full colour publication, they can still be bought as a whole scheme in loose-leaf format, individually, or new ones written to suit the needs of the school. Read more detail about the Primary Art modules here.
I am especially interested in using art to develop creativity and emotional intelligence, and in children’s progression in art. I am committed to helping those who work with children build confidence in their approaches to allowing children to develop through art.
